Clare’s PRO of Active Retirement Ireland is urging older people to avoid big crowds for the remainder of this festive season.
Data from Public Health Midwest shows 94 percent of people aged over 12 in this county have been vaccinated, but as booster shots continue to be rolled out, the county’s elderly and vulnerable are being reminded to remain cautious and follow public health advice.
Shannon-based Active Retirement member, Kay Murphy, says booster jabs are offering hope as we look ahead to the New Year but she insists it’s important for everyone to remain safe.
