Number Of People Being Treated For Covid At UHL Decreased Yesterday Evening

The number of people being treated for COVID in the region’s main hospital fell by 8 yesterday evening.

There are now 35 people receiving treatment for the virus at University Hospital Limerick compared to 43 on Thursday.

11 of these patients are in ICU.

It comes as the UL Hospitals Group is continuing to warn of significant disruption to its services due to staff shortages.

The majority of scheduled services and outpatient appointments between Tuesday, January 3rd and Friday, January 7th are to be deferred by the Group.
