Councillors in West and North Clare have expressed concern that a large number of young people are planning to hold leaving cert results parties in holiday homes here.
A joint statement has been issued by Councillors Joe Garrihy, Joe Killeen, Cillian Murphy and Shane Talty, in which they ask any students considering travelling to the coastal towns and villages to show respect and avoid any anti-social behaviour.
The local representatives have also made contact with Gardaí, to request that more officers be on hand to cope with any potential issues that may arise.
