House prices in Clare have climbed by 9% since this time last year.
Signs are appearing that the housing market is stabilising in the county as for the third quarter in a row, the average asking price for a home is €250,000.
New figures from housing website MyHome.ie indicate minimal price movement in the Clare housing market over recent months.
The average asking price for a home in Clare has risen by €20,000 since this time last year but has remained at €250,000 for approximately nine months.
For a three-bed semi-detached house, the average asking price has risen by 6% since this time last year.
However, it has stayed flat at €229,500 over the last three months.
Similarly, the asking price for a 4-bed semi-detached house is up by €15,000 in the last year but has fallen by €5,000 since March to €250,000.
Meanwhile, the average two-bedroom apartment in Clare will set the buyer back by €145,000 which is up more than 7% from the last quarter.
At the end of June, there were 304 properties for sale in the county which represents an increase of 1%.
The figures reveal that it takes just over three and a half months for a property in Clare to go sale agreed.
Looking at the national picture the average asking price for a house outside of Dublin has increased by almost 5% since the end of March and now stands at €280,000.
