House Sales Drop In Clare As Residential Property Prices Increase

Residential property prices have increased marginally in Clare in the space of a year.

New CSO figures show households paid a median price of €248,000 for a dwelling on the residential property market in Clare in February.

The volume of sales has dropped year-on-year however, as Clare FM’s Fiona Cahill reports.

According to the latest statistics from the Central Statistics Office, there were 43 sales executed in Clare in February, to the value of 11.6 million euro.

This represents a 34% reduction in sales on the start of the year, and a 44% reduction on the same month in 2022.

14 of the February sales were to first-time buyers, 21 were to former owner-occupiers and 8 were to non-occupiers.

The median price paid in the county during the month was €248,000, up from €245,000 in February last year.

When looking at new homes specifically, that figure rises to €323,287 and it’s €248,000 for existing homes.
