Hopes Reopening Crusheen Rail Station Will Lead To Western Revival

It’s claimed the reopening of Crusheen Train Station can be the springboard to revival for Western Ireland.

It comes as Clare County Council has commisioned a study to examine the socio-economic benefits of re-instating the North Clare rail stop.

The railway closed to passenger traffic in 1976 and freight traffic in 1990 , while Crusheen itself now has youngest population of any village in the county.
