Government Urged To Aid In Lahinch Bid For Irish Open

The Government has been urged to assist Lahinch Golf Club in its efforts to secure the right to host next year’s Irish Open golf tournament.

The historic North Clare course is among the courses being considered by the European Tour to host the event in 2019, with a decision expected by July.

It has been estimated that the event would be worth €10 million to the local economy.
