” Fight To Reopen Crusheen Railway Will Not Be Halted In Its Tracks”

It’s claimed the local community won’t give up the fight to see Crusheen Train Station reopened.

Transport Minister Eamonn Ryan has ruled out the possibility of the project receiving funding for at least another five years.

Planning permission was previously granted for a new rail stop at Crusheen in 2011, but the development has not been included in any Ianróid Eireann or government capital expenditure programmes since.

Maghera Fianna Fáíl Councillor Pat Hayes claims the right amount of political will is all thats needed to bring the project to fruition.
