Ennis Sinn Féin Runaí Insists Lifting Eviction Ban Will Plunge People Into Homelessness

An Ennis Sinn Féin representative insists the government’s decision to lift the eviction ban at the end of the month will plunge people into homelessness.

The opposition party has formally submitted a motion, which will be debated and voted upon in the Dáil next week, calling for the moratorium on evictions to be extended until January 2024.

Tánaiste Micheál Martin has accused Sinn Féin of playing politics, saying the motion would mean that people would have to leave properties just days after Christmas.
