The BushyPark Treatment Centre, which was set up in 1991, in response to a growing need for a residential service in the community to deal with alcohol, drugs and gambling addiction, is the second organisation to benefit from the today’s auction.

Together the with HSE, Clarecare bought and renovated the premises at Bushypark and in the following 33 years, over 5,000 people have availed of residential services there and 10,000 of community services.

She says addiction trends have continued to change, particularly over the past year.

Following months of work, and hours of fundraising today through the radio auction, over 23,000 euro has been raised for the two organisations.
