On Monday’s Morning Focus, Alan spoke to Dr. Peter Childs who is the Emeritus Senior Lecturer at the Department of Chemical Sciences in the University of Limerick. Peter discussed the upcoming lecture he will host by the Shannon Archaeological and Historical Society which will explore the history of the Irish seaweed industry in County Clare. He spoke about the seaweed industry in Ireland and it’s history which goes back hundreds of years along with describing the uses of seaweed.
The lecture will take place this Wednesday 18th of January at 8pm in the Oakwood Hotel in Shannon. Admission is free to Society members and €5 for non-members. It will be streamed live on Zoom. You can join the Society by emailing [email protected].
