Clare Sinn Féín Rep Claims Social Housing Underspend Is Depriving People Of Basic Amenities

A Clare Sinn Féín representative claims the government’s social housing underspend is depriving hard working people of basic amenities.

It comes ahead of the party’s motion on affordable housing which will be debated in the Dáil today, with a call on the Housing Minister to account for his deapartment’s €1 billion budget underspend.

New figures show that the government only delivered 43% of their projected builds under the Cost Rental scheme, First Home scheme & Local Authority Affordable Purchase Schemes last year.
