Clare Sinn Féin Rep Claims Housing Shortage Is Damaging Investor Confidence In The County

A Clare Sinn Féin representative claims the housing shortage is discouraging businesses from investing in the local economy.

The opposition party will put forward a proposal in the Dáíl later today seeking a three year rent freeze and a temporary re-introduction of the eviction ban.

Renters in Clare are currently forking out as much as €1,133 on average each month for their accommodation needs, with average rates across the county up 10% in the last year.
