Clare Samaritans Recognises Difficult Christmas Time Ahead Of Longest Night Appeal

People in Clare who are struggling with any issues in the run up to Christmas are being reassured that there will always be someone there to listen.

To coincide with the shortest day of the year, Clare Samaritans is holding its ‘Longest Night’ appeal, with hundreds of buildings across the country illuminated in green.

So far this year the Ennis branch of the mental health charity has recieved nearly 20,000 calls from people seeking help.

Volunteer with the Clare branch of Samaritans, Rob Phillips is encouraging people to reach out if they’re finding things difficult this festive season.
