Clare Rural SPC Chair Believes Irish Water Independence Is ‘A Challenge’

The Chair of Clare’s Rural Development committee believes the independence of Irish Water is presenting ‘a challenge’ in getting projects done at a local level.

Councillors are to be asked to sign off on a renewed Rural Development Strategy 2030 at a full meeting of the local authority later today.

A key objective of the plan is to ‘enhance water and wastewater infrastructure’ in rural areas.
