Clare Secondary School Wins Prestigious Renewable Energy Competition

A West Clare secondary school has claimed a prestigious regional title for exhibiting their vision for a renewable energy future.

The “Shooting the Breeze” competition saw five schools shortlisted within the Shannon Estuary catchment area for their projects aiming to harness off-shore wind.

St. Joseph’s Secondary School in Spanish Point were named as the overall winner for the production of their film “turbine” and took home a €2,000 prize and five I-pads.
