A Clare forester is urging households to recycle their Christmas trees into mulch this weekend.
Traditionally today, the last day of Christmas or Little Christmas, is designated as the day for Clare families to take down their decorations and throw away their tree.
The local authority has provided free Christmas tree disposal points until January 20th at the Central Waste Management Facility, Inagh – Lisdeen Recycling Centre, Kilkee – Scariff Recycling Centre – Shannon Recycling Centre and the Gardening Section, Gort Rd, Ennis.
Former Green Councillor and Forester in Darragh, Brian Meaney says people can also recycle their trees in their own gardens.
