Clare Father Says Pandemic Highlighted Failure To Prioritise Needs Of Autistic Young People

A Clare parent says the pandemic has highlighted the longstanding failure to prioritise the needs of autistic young people in this country.

It comes as new research has revealed that two thirds of parents and guardians are waiting at least two years for an autism diagnosis for their child.

The survey by As I AM also shows that half of parents surveyed were very dissatisfied with HSE support services available for their children.
