Squeaky bum time for Man Utd and Man City

The drama of last monday’s Manchester derby could be overshadowed by events on Sunday afternoon with Man City taking on Newcastle while Man Utd host Swansea.

If Man City can restrict the Newcastle attack to as little goalmouth action as last Monday its hard to see them not pushing towards their first title in decades.

They dominated Man Utd last week but there remains the nagging doubt that they are going to bottle it.

They have a potent forward line-but also have the implosive rather than explosive Mario Balotelli

Midfield is domianted by Yaya Toure and Silva, but if Silva fails to perform midfield creativity is sorely lacking

Vincent Kompany is one of the best palyers in the world at centre half-yet there is still doubts if Man City can close out games.

All of the above seems compelling evidence that  Sunday could be ahugely entertianing game-at least for the neutral

Yet somehting still gnaws at the mind that if City’s squad  has real mental strength they would have never allowed Man utd to get back into the title race.

But it is the fact that when the pressure went off Man city then capitalised on most un-Man Utd like behaviour to get back into a title winning position.

Man Utd have really done a Newcastlecirca 1996  on it-primarily because their midfield isn’t good enough to grind teams down and they are depending on two men who born in the 1970’s to win them a title in 2012.

I believe City will beat Newcastle-despite the incredible form of the two strikers for the magpies,Demba ba and Cisse.
Man Utd will swat swansea aside easily-but I have also a sneaking suspicion there could be just one more kink in this epic title race!
