Mary Burke Senior Executive Chemist, Clare County Council spoke about those that are not on the public water supply, e.g. private well, what should they look out for
Are there any major risks from general flooding – like the danger of children playing in the water
The arrangements in place to ensure water supplies don’t get contaminated from flood waters

Ed Walsh, Founder of the University of Limerick has just penned his memoir Upstart: Friends, Foes and the Founding of a University
It chronicles the birth of the University of Limerick from a decaying mansion on a riverside site to a world class university
This is his memoir, the Cork native describes the academic and political obstructions he faced in his struggle to achieve university status for UL
The outspoken figure has been controversial on issues like the proposed Limerick City Boundary extension
In April last year he criticised members of the teaching profession, for their "bad manners" at annual teachers’ conferences that month and described their plans to stage strikes as "outrageous".
