The week on Morning Focus got off to a busy start with a look at the aftermath of the weekend’s terror attacks on London the election of Leo Varadkar as leader of Fine Gael, a review of weekend sporting action and lots more.

This edition of Morning Focus opened with a discussion of what lies ahead as Leo Varadkar is set to become Taoiseach. Gavin was joined on the line by Senator Martin Conway.

The UK has been rocked with a terrorist attack in central London. Despite the terrible events of the weekend, the UK elections will go ahead. Gavin discussed the issue with Bernard Purcell, Editor of The Irish World.

There were lots of chances on today’s show to relive the highlights of the weekend’s victory by the Clare senior hurlers over Limerick to see them through to the Munster Final on July 9.
