On Monday’s Morning Focus John Cooke was joined in studio by the newly elected Mayor of Clare Councillor Pat Daly, Councillor Pat Hayes, the outgoing Mayor of Clare and Councillor Paschal Fitzgerald, the new Deputy Mayor of Clare
Councillors Daly and Fitzgerald spoke about their hopes and aims for their term representing the county, and Councillor Hayes reflected on his term.

Clare will host a Community Meeting in advance of The Gathering Ireland 2013, the  national tourism initiative launched earlier this year by An Taoiseach Enda Kenny tonight at the Temple Gate Hotel, Ennis at 7pm
All are welcome to attend the meeting which will offer an opportunity for local people to learn more about ‘The Gathering’ and how they can be involved Anyone with ideas for a ‘Gathering’ can pledge them online after the meeting. They will also be able to access tools and supports online to help them to organise their Gatherings

The Danish church choir “Vor Frelsers Kirkes Kor" (choir from Redeemer church) from Aalborg in Denmark is touring Ireland for a concert tour since Friday and this will continue until 6th July
The choir will be singing concerts in Christ Church Cathedral in Dublin on Saturday
Yesterday they performed in St Fachtnan´s Cathedral in Kilfenora and also joined the Sunday service in St Columba’s in Ennis yesterday morning and finally will perform a concert in St Patrick Church in Kenmare tomorrow
The choir is a mixed choir with 8 members; the singers are young people, and most of them are students or educated singers from the Danish Academy of Music
Solveig Brandt Særkjær Skovgård – Organist and Conductor – and the entire choir joined John in studio to have a word about their trip.
