Liam Ashe was a teacher at St Flannan’s College in Ennis for four decades, where he taught history and geography.
Liam also has a big interest in education in India – in Kolkata, to be precise – where he has been a co-director of Balo Welfare Society School since 2006.

This NGO school teaches hundreds of children in one of the most deprived parts of Kolkata. Liam has been venturing back and forth to India since then.
He is getting ready to make what will be his 20th trip to India and is also bracing himself for a big birthday milestone!
