Clare County Council’s heard calls for infrastructure to be prepared for an Ennis town bus service as soon as possible.

The National Transport Authority has said it could put the project out to tender as early as next year, with route selection due to be finalised before the end of March.

The local authority’s been told it may need 70 to 80 new bus stops to support the service, and has informed Ennis Councillors this week it intends to ‘assist in the timely completion’ of what’s needed.
