A Tulla nurse who lost her own sister to ovarian cancer, before overcoming the disease herself, is urging women across the county to be aware of its symptoms ahead of World Ovarian Cancer day this weekend.
Over 400 women are diagnosed with Ovarian cancer every year in Ireland and tomorrow, World Ovarian Cancer Day, aims to encourage women to educate themselves on what to look out for.
Anne Murphy from Tulla is an oncology nurse for Slainte An Chláir who survived ovarian cancer herself but lost her 41 year old sister Gráinne to the disease.
