A Guinness World Record holder from Quin is planning to make the most of inter-county travel restrictions being lifted to raise funds for the Simon Community.
Declan McEvoy rose to prominence after riding the entire length of the frozen Lake Baikal in Siberia on his motorbike back in March.
He and his wife Jacinta will now travel from Salthill’s promenade to the Forty Foot in Dublin on Monday – the shortest day of the year.
