Seamus Heaney was patron of the Merriman Summer School and, just two weeks before his sad death, Ireland’s much loved poet and Nobel Laureate was guest speaker at an event in Lisdoonvarna, where he reflected on the theme of "Ireland; North and South" and also recited some of his works.
