This week, we saw the announcement of an €80 million COVID-19 aid package for farmers across the European Union.
It has received a quite lukewarm reception here in Ireland, with many of the main farming groups criticising it for not going far enough.
When broken down, it means just €8 per farmer, across the bloc.
Following on from IFA and ICSA reaction on the news this week, the ICMSA’s Martin McMahon from O’Callaghan’s Mills joins us to discuss this week (from 11:20).
Also this week is BEEP scheme advice from Teagasc’s Michael Neylon (1:00) and some information about the Credit Union loan scheme for farmers (17:30).
