Ali’s Visit to Ennis Remembered Ten Years On

This week, the town of Ennis celebrated an important milestone, following the tenth anniversary of a visit by the legendary boxer Muhammed Ali.

The three-time World Heavyweight Champion was made the first Honorary Freeman of Ennis on September 1st 2009, as the town was the birthplace of his great grandfather, Abe Grady.
On Morning Focus, the event was remembered by the man who was then Mayor, Frankie Neylon, and by former Clare FM reporter Fiona Donnellan.
