Visitor restrictions eased at Mid western regioanl

Vistor restrictions at Limerick Regional Hospital have been EASED for the Bank Holiday weekend.

It follows an improvement in the Winter Vomiting Bug outbreak with no confirmed cases of the norovirus at the hospital but there are five suspected cases.

Over the weekend one adult visitor per patient will be permitted during both morning and evening visiting times but this will not apply to critically ill patients.

Also anyone feeling within the last 72 hours is advised to stay away while access to the hospital contiues to be via the Outpatients Department.

The HSE says the visiting arrangements will be reviewed on Tuesday
