A main route in East Clare has re-opened following a major oil spill.
Emergency services were alerted this morning after a number of minor road crashes on the main Tulla to Sixmilebridge road.

The alarm was raised shortly before nine o’clock this morning, after a number of cars left the road on the ten kilometre route between Kilkishen to Sixmilebridge.
There were no reports of injuries.
Three units from Shannon Fire Service and two from Ennis, Gardaí and crews from Clare County Council attended the scene.
The road was closed for a number of hours while crews treated the road, but it has since re-opened.
Clare’s Fire Service has now been stood down but local authority crews remain at the scene.
