Clare’s Fianna Fail TD is calling for the current secondary school transport scheme to be scrapped.

It comes amid continuing concern that children in rural parts of this county still do not have access to bus services.

Concerns relating to pupils travelling between Lissycasey and Kildysart have been resolved, but issues still remain in securing tickets for students commuting from Corofin to Ennistymon.

Deputy Cathal Crowe says the scheme is outdated.
