The Bishop of Killaloe has suggested that tickets may be issued for church ceremonies, so that social distancing rules can be followed inside the Churches.
From this week, churches and other religious buildings are open for private personal prayer although it will be July before they reopen for congregations.
At that point, there will be a considerable challenge in terms of following social distancing advice, particularly at funerals.
