Taxi drivers expected to down tools for protest Midwest Airport

Taxi drivers are planning to down tools at Shannon Airport again today .

Its all part of a nationwide three hour protest that will see the drivers withdraw services from the mid West airport along with Dublin and Cork along with the country’s main train and bus stations.

Its unknown at this stage if the station in Ennis will be affected.

Taxi drivers will also stage a number of slow-drive protests through major cities and towns.

The protest is scheduled to begin at midday and centres on a dispute with the taxi regulator on a number of issues.
