Suspect Released Without Charge Following Ennis Assault Which Left Teen With Life-Changing Injuries

Gardaí in Ennis have released a person without charge following a serious assault on a teen in a nightclub in the town.

Officers were called the Queen’s Nightclub on Abbey Street at around 1.45am on Sunday last to an altercation involving two women.

The victim, a 19-year-old woman, was taken to University Hospital Limerick with severe injuries to her face.

She has since been released but Gardaí say she has been left with life-changing injuries.

A person in their early 20s was arrested in the Ennis area this morning as part of an investigation into the assault and has since been released without charge.

A file is being sent to the Director of Public Prosecutions.

Gardaí are continuing to appeal for witnesses to the assault to come forward and contact them on 065 684 8100.
