Supply Shortage Driving More Vibrant Housing Market In Clare

A prominent Ennis auctioneer believes a shortage in housing supply is one of the driving forces behind a more vibrant market in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The latest Daft.ie report, which examined the health of both the sale and rental markets, has found that house prices in Clare have fallen by 7.5% in June compared to the same time last year.

While rental prices have remained relatively stable, as more Air BnB owners released properties back into the rental market.

But Cormac O’Sullivan, of DNG O’Sullivan Hurley in Ennis has been telling Clare FM’s Fiona Cahill that supply will become a bigger issue in the months ahead.
