Summerhill Residents Request Council Meeting Over Pedestrianisation Concerns

Residents in the Summerhill area of Ennis have requested a meeting with Clare County Council about the town’s mobility plan going forward.

Following a review, the local authority has announced that while pedestrianisation will remain in place in the town centre, it will only be enforced from 11am to 6pm, Monday to Saturday.

Summerhill has been used as a two way traffic area since the measures were first introduced, which residents argue is unsustainable.

Summerhill resident Brendan O Brien believes a way needs to be found to ease the flow of traffic in his area.
