Staff at the Blarney Woollen Mills in Bunratty are beginning strike action today.
The workers are downing tools in a row with management over the compulsory redundancy of two long term chefs at the Bunratty restaurant.

The union which represents the staff say the redundancies go against the company’s own employment policy
Mandate also says it’s all of the company’s plans to combine the roles and functions between the Woollen Mills and the Bunratty Hotel which it claims is unacceptable.
