The Parish Priest of Sixmilebridge has expressed shock after what he’s described as an attempted arson attack on the local Church.
A Garda investigation has been launched after a number of young people entered the church some time between 5.30 and 6pm on Thursday evening, lit candles and set paper attached to the notice board on fire.
Gardaí have examined CCTV footage and are urging anyone with information on the incident to contact Gardaí in Sixmilebridge or Shannon.
