Six companies across the Midwest are to receive up to €25,000 each in funding to develop smart technology for the next generation.

The Tech Disrupt 4.0 Pilot Project, managed by both Clare and Limerick’s Local Enterprise Offices, encourages development in areas such as 3D Printing, artificial intelligence and virtual reality.

The six funding recipients were narrowed down from more than 30 applicants across the region.

Those awarded the funding vouchers work in industries ranging from Sports Performance Analysis to Smart Recruitment.
