Ryanair CEO To Visit Shannon Airport To Outline Airline’s Future Plans

Ryanair CEO Eddie Wilson will visit Shannon this morning to outline the airline’s medium-to-long term plan for the airport.

It follows the airport’s Operations Director saying last week that the facility remains in discussion with the airline over further routes in the Midwest.

New routes to Corfu and Gran Canaria have taken off from Shannon this week.

Ryanair have yet to disclose exactly what will be revealed at this morning’s meeting but the appearence of the CEO has prompted optimism locally.

Chairperson of the Clare Tourism Advisory Forum, Sean Lally, who is also co-owner of Hotel Woodstock, says their airline’s support for the airport is crucial.
