Plans For €40m Development At Trump Doonbeg Temporarily Withdrawn

Plans for a 40 million euro extension at Trump’s Doonbeg Hotel and Golf Resort have been temporarily withdrawn.

Plans were lodged almost a fortnight ago for the construction of a ballroom, a leisure facility including a restaurant, 53 new dwellings to be used for short-term tourist accommodation, as well as parking and other facilities.

The company has said that the development is part of it’s master plan, which it hopes will provide an economic boost for the area.

Plans have now been withdrawn on account of technical issues with some of the files that were lodged with the local authority, but they are expected to be re-submitted.
