Older Motorway Slipways ‘Not User Friendly’

Clare’s Road Safety Officer has admitted that the motorway slipways that are currently in existence here are not user friendly.

It follows concerns raised about the design of a number of motorway junctions, with the Scarriff/Tulla exit on the M18 highlighted as particularly concerning because of the short length of the slipway.

As a result, motorists being advised to be aware of the road signage on motorways and to slow down appropriately at all exits.
