Transport Minister Of ‘Going To Sleep’ As Second Rail Strike Gets Underway

A Killaloe executive member of the NBRU is accusing the Transport Minister of ‘going to sleep’ after allowing another rail strike to take place.

No trains are running today as Irish Rail workers hold a second strike day as part of a dispute over pay, with another three work stoppages planned in the coming weeks.

Workers want an almost 4 percent bump in pay every year for three years, something Irish Rail says would push them to bankruptcy.
