Numbers Seeking Rape Crisis Supports Not Likely To Revert To Pre-Pandemic Levels

Rape Crisis MidWest has described the increased numbers of people seeking support during the pandemic as unsurprising.

The Rape Crisis Centre’s latest report has pointed to a 98% jump in those seeking counselling and support over the past five months.

The report also warns that the increased demand is not likely to revert to pre-pandemic levels and that resources will be stretched, as repressed need in people becomes apparent.
