Not Reasonable To Expect Student Nurses To Be Paid Now – Conway

Clare’s Fine Gael Senator says it’s ‘not reasonable’ to expect student nurses to be paid.

Martin Conway’s comments come as the government continues to examine the issue, having voted down a motion on restoring pay for students on placement during the pandemic earlier this week.

A review on allowances being paid to students will be completed shortly, with any changes not being implemented until September 2021.
