A new day centre for the elderly is due to open in Ennis in the next fortnight.
Grant aid funding of 213,000 is set to be announced for Cuan an Chláir, by Minister of State Helen McEntee, when she visits the county next Monday.
The new facility, which will be partner-funded by the HSE will cater for 60 people, and will open on May 2nd next to 12 new houses built under separate funding by Cuan an Chláir.
