Gardaí targeting the sale and supply of drugs in the Ennis area have uncovered a quantity of drugs during the search of a premises in the town.
A quantity of what’s believed to be cocaine and heroin, subject to analysis, was discovered in a house in Beechpark around 8.30 this morning.
The searches were carried out by members of the drugs unit based at Ennis, supported by the Armed Regional Support Unit.

A man in his forties was arrested at the scene and is being detained at Ennis Garda Station under Section 2 of the Misuse of Drugs Act, where he can be held for up to 3 days.
