Limerick Trolley Figures Double Any Other Hospital

The number of people awaiting admission to University Hospital Limerick today is more than double that of any other hospital in the country.

According to the INMO’s daily Trolleywatch statistics, a total of 50 people are waiting at Dooradoyle – 28 of them are in the hospital’s Emergency Department, and the remainder are in overflow areas of wards.

The Mater Hospital is the next busiest with 22, while there are just over 300 people in this position nationally.
