The Health Minister is being told he must provide funding to allow for the operation of the new Emergency Department at University Hospital Limerick.

The call has come from Labour’s Alan Kelly, who has been told by UL Hospitals Group CEO Colette Cowan that work is progressing on securing the staff and equipment needed for the facility.

She has re-iterated their intention to open the facility on May 29th, but has pointed out that 2.7 million euro in funding has not yet been committed.
